Lieberman TREACHERY *aided* by former Dem. Senator Bob Kerrey..
Joe Lieberman is TOXIC POISON to Democrats in 2006.
Over at HuffingtonPost.com, former Senior Senate staffer (and "West Wing" TV producer) Lawrence O'Donnell predicts that Lieberman will drop out by September.

But some of the comments to Mr. O'Donnell's post mention that he has been wrong in his predictions before (specifically, O'Donnell predicted that Karl Rove would be indicted for lying to prosecutors about his role in "outing" the undercover CIA company "Brewster Jennings" as a means of smear-mobing Ambassador Joe Wilson, for Wilson's very public rebuke of President Bush's use of the "uranium from Niger Africa to Iraq" story as proof of Iraq's alleged WMD program). More generally, Mr. O'Donnell's optimism seems to overlook the Republican "dirty tricks" that won them the White House in 2000, the Senate majority in 2002 (portraying Vietnam combat Veterans Max Cleland and Tom Daschle as "soft on terrorism," among many other smears), and again the Rove-Republican's ability to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat in Ohio, Florida, Nevada, Arizona, Iowa and other critical states in John Kerry's 'defeat' in 2004.
In addition to those generalities that Mr. O'Donnell may be overlooking, we here at C-dems.blgspt.com must point out several very specific, CRITICAL points: between them JOE LIEBERMAN and ZELL MILLER have been at the center of EACH of those Democratic Party electoral losses, Lieberman and Zell were right there in the thick of the things as Republicans snatched victory from the jaws of defeat from clueless and hapless Democrat "leaders" -
#1. In 2000, Joe Lieberman had his one and only "MAKE NICE" 'debate' with his opponent, VP candidate Dick Cheney. Not only could Lieberman NOT find ANYTHING to go on the attack against Cheney's record (UP TO AND INCLUDING Halliburton oil equipment sales to Saddam Hussein in the last years of the Clinton administration, late 1990s, when Dick Cheney was Chairman AND CEO of Halliburton co.!), but of course in that election Joe Lieberman had neither the grace nor the class to DROP his Senate re-election race in order to put everything he had in his VP campaign.
On hearing that Lieberman would NOT drop his senate campaign, Vice President Al Gore SHOULD HAVE DEMANDED that Lieberman NOT accept his nomination to the VP ticket. Heck, we can't even keep all of Lieberman's 2000 BETRAYALS in one paragraph! Besides his lame campaign, there was his refusal to stick up for Palm Beach Co. voters, his refusal to fight aggressively against Jeb Bush and Katherine Harris' Republcan corruption and voter disenfranchisement in Florida, and, ultimately, Joe Lieberman (more so than even Al Gore) was THE FACE of Democrats in the Senate REFUSING to SIGN on to the Black Congressional Caucus' demand for a Congressional Investigation into massive vote fraud in Florida in 2000. THAT is at least THREE major betrayals by Senator Lieberman of Democratic voters - in ONE election!
#2. In 2002, Senator Lieberman UPPED his betrayal of Democratic Voters, Lieberman SHORT-SHEETING the Senate Enron investigation, thereby ROBBING Democrats of THEIR BEST ISSUE in 2002, the opportunity to TIE or link President Bush to the CORRUPTION and FRAUD of his #1. campaign supporter - Enron co.
Enron had been George W. Bush's NUMBER ONE CAMPAIGN CONTRIBUTOR through Bush's TWO Texas gubanatorial races, his 2000 Republican primary, his 2000 general election campaign, his 2000 Florida recount battle, and the 2001 Bush-Cheney inaguerations. For EACH of these events, ENRON was Bush-Cheney's NUMBER ONE CAMPAIGN FINANCER. Yet in 2002, Senate Governmental Affairs Committee Chairman Joe Lieberman GAVE ENRON, and hence Bush-Cheney, a FREE PASS WHITEWASH, practically guaranteeing that not only would the Democrats loose their Senate majority, but in the near future Californians would REJECT their Democratic governor, who would prove unable to stop Enron's serial fraud in manipulated energy blackouts for that state. Thus, in 2002, Leiberman was not only at the center of the Democrats LOSING their MAJORITY in the US Senate, by by ENABLING ENRON FRAUD, Lieberman was at the heart of the Democrats LOSS of the California Governor's mansion in 2003!
#3. Then, in 2004, ZELL MILLER might well have been the stake-in-the-heart of John Kerry's presidential campaign. Zell accused Kerry of wanting to arm America "with spitballs" against al Qaida terrorists, and the pathetic Kerry stood there like a box of rocks, taking the smears and doing NOTHING to counter them, giving thousands of undecided voters little reason to vote for him.
FAST FORWARD to 2006, and JOE LIEBERMAN and BOB KERREY are both prepared to TAKE UP WHERE ZELL MILLER LEFT OFF in 2006 - deriding anti-Bush Democratic voters as "ENABLING America's enemies."
NO, MR. KERREY - it is YOU who have ENABLED AMERICA's ENEMIES, by your signing off on the pathetic, WHITEWASH 9-11 Commission. The one which, DESPITE YOUR WHITEWASH, STILL assigned grades of "D" and "F" to the administration's post/9-11 counter-terror preparations!

While most of Joe Lieberman's Democratic colleagues flock to his opponent, at least one prominent former senator is rallying to him.
Word from the campaign is that Bob Kerrey has offered to stump for Lieberman in the fall, which should, if nothing else, allow Lieberman to paint his coalition of political supporters as Republicans -- whose professions of admiration Lieberman can't seem to get away from -- and "independent-minded" Democrats.
