The last time we checked, Reid and Pelosi were running on their "9 point improvement plan" or whatever they called their previous anemic, no-headlines, no PR, no publicity, no media coverage election 2006 "plan," which could only lead millions of American voters to think that the Democrats are once again TOO COWARDLY to face the IMPORTANT ISSUES: the Bush-Cheney-neo-con catastrophic war leadership.
OF COURSE the COWARDLY DEMOCRATS are JOINING IN with President Bush and Karl Rove to PUSH NED LAMONT's winnning, upset victory over treacherous Rethuglican Heavy Joe Lieberman OFF THE NATIONAL NEWS screens and front-pages.
Today, as per their usual manner, the Democrats in the Senate were QUIET AS CHURCH MICE as Connecticut anti-war activists tried to officially drum Joe Lieberman out of the Democratic Party. It's not that Sharon Ferrucci, the Democratic voter registrar in New Haven, where Lieberman lives and is a registered Democrat, betrayed Connecticut Democrats by refusing to initiate the process to drum Lieberman out of the party...

WILL Democratic VOTERS overcome the APPALLING 2006 Democrat campaign leadership, and show up at the polls DESPITE the Hillary-Schumer-Lieberman-Biden-Reid soft-pedal and prostration to the Bush-Cheney-Rove agenda?

He's gotten Bush with 10 points of the Democrats, which puts him in plenty close range to run an OCTOBER SURPRISE which forces another 10% of American Voters to run to the Rethuglican Party in the next major terrorist "incident", given the anemic, unworthy, treacherous, and AWOL Democratic "leadership."

WASHINGTON -- Republicans seeking to retain control of Congress have narrowed the Democrats' lead in voter preferences for candidates, from 9 to 2 percentage points in the latest USA Today/Gallup Poll.
The biggest jump in support for Republican congressional candidates may have resulted from a ``mini-surge" in public approval for President Bush's handling of terrorism after the British authorities foiled an alleged plot to blow up US-bound airliners, the Gallup survey said.
When voters were asked which party's candidate they would support in the November election, 47 percent said the Democratic Party and 45 percent said the Republican Party. The poll was conducted Aug. 18-20. Democrats held a 9-point lead in an Aug 7-10 Gallup survey.
The Democrats' lead averaged 10 points in three previous Gallup polls conducted since July 6. Democrats, who must pick up 15 seats to take control of the House of Representatives and six to take the Senate, led by 16 points in Gallup's June 23-25 survey.
The narrowing of the Democrats' margin in the latest poll isn't statistically significant because the margin of error is 5 percentage points, Gallup said. Bush's overall approval rating rose from 37 percent in the earlier August poll to 42 percent. The margin of error for that poll is 3 points.
