Dems PRETEND NOT TO NOTICE the sheer, abject banality of Bush's lying...
Democrats: IF YOU CAN'T CONFRONT the CHRONIC LIES coming from the president and "his" government, YOU_ARE_NOT_DOING_YOUR_JOBS.
Remember when Bill Clinton was president, and Clinton-hating Republicans spat out "Clinton IS A LIAR!"?
Today, the president is so convinced of the holy crusade of the New Confederate Empire, that he can look into cameras, tell viewers across the nation "Secretary of Treasury Snow has NO intention of resigning".... FOUR DAYS after his replacement has already been decided upon.
Under our Democrat "leadership," Democratic voters are a disenfranchised, second-class voting block with all the rights of a "field slave" passing the master's mansion.
Bush Slogan: Lying Every Day Keeps the Truth Away

Several times in the past, BuzzFlash has editorialized about the banality of Bush's lying. And even if the corporate press in D.C. did give context to the news -- instead of serving as stenographers -- it might not be able to fully convey the extent of how frequently Bush and the White House lie.
But, it would be nice if they would give it a try, instead of continuing to give Bush the deference and credibility that should only be deserved by an honest man (or woman).
Eric Boehlert, author of "Lapdogs," details a couple of this past week's whoppers:
Just this week Snow was caught telling a different tale than Bush regarding the hiring of the new Secretary of Treasury. Bush on May 25 denied to reporters that the now-outgoing secretary was leaving. Days later though, Snow informed reporters the new secretary accepted the job on May 20, five days before Bush denied rumors of changes at Treasury.
Perhaps more disturbing is the factual split over when the president was first made aware that U.S. Marines were accused of massacring nearly two dozen Iraqi civilians in Haditha last Nov. 19. ABC News reports this morning that Bush first learned on March 11 that the military was investigating a possible massacre. Indeed, the ABC report reflects an official Haditha timeline released by the White House on Thursday: "March 11: National Security Adviser Stephen Hadley briefs President George W. Bush about the investigation."
But that clearly contradicts the timeline Snow used on Tuesday, when he told reporters Bush first learned about the Haditha allegations after a "Time reporter first made the call" to military leaders questioning the official explanation about the Haditha deaths. That call was made on Feb. 10. (Additionally on Tuesday, a spokesman for the National Security Council told the AP that Bush was briefed about the Haditha investigation "soon after" the Time reporter made his Feb. 10 inquiry.) But now the administration insists Bush did not get the word until March 11.
On top of Boehlert's account of two "caught in the act" lies, Snow was unable to explain why the Iraqi Prime Minister was allegedly misquoted when he did indeed, apparently, accused the Bush Administration of being responsible for American soldiers killing Iraqi civilians on a daily basis. This is how Snow responded to questions about the clearly coerced "about face" from the Iraqi Prime Minister, who wasn't misquoted at all, it appears:
"That is a little too complicated for me to try to read out," Snow said at a briefing where he was pressed to explain how al-Maliki's remarks were supposed to have been distorted. "It becomes a little convoluted and so I don't want to make a real clear characterization because it's a little hazy to me," Snow said.
Yes, lies from the White House do become a bit complicated. What Snow couldn't say was something like this: "Well, our guys told the Prime Minister if he didn't back down from his statement, he better watch out because he might become a victim too, so he's chosen to not discuss the subject any longer as a result of our 'gentle' persuasion."
But that would be the truth. And telling the truth in the Bush Administration is like striking a stake into the heart of a vampire.
